New Features
Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) 2.3.6 is the first maintenance release that aligns the 2.3.x core with the 2.4.x core; Apache component versions are the same across HDP 2.3.6 and HDP 2.4.2*. HDP 2.3.6 includes:
All 2.4.0 and 2.4.2 bug fixes and Apache patches*
Additional Apache patches beyond those ported from the common components across HDP 2.3.x and 2.4.x (see Apache Patche Information)
