Editing datasets based on a SQL query

Cloudera Data Visualization allows you to edit datasets that are defined by a SQL query, giving you flexibility to control which data is included in the dataset. By modifying the SQL definition, you can refine both the rows and columns that are exposed for analysis.

  1. Open the DATA tab and navigate to a dataset that you created using a SQL query.
  2. Click it to open the Dataset Detail view.
  3. Locate the SQL editor.
    • The SQL text displayed defines the data selection for the dataset.
    • You can edit this SQL statement to change the dataset contents.
