Deploying Clusters in an Existing Environment
If you already configured an environment, you can easily deploy a new cluster:
- Log in to Cloudera Director. For example, http://example.com:7189.
- Click Add Cluster, and then select an environment from the Environment list box. If you have not created an environment, see Configuring an Environment and Deploying a Cluster.
- Select a Cloudera Manager from the Cloudera Manager list box.
- To clone an existing cluster, select Clone from existing and select a cluster. To specify cluster settings, select Create from scratch.
- Enter a name for the cluster in the Cluster name field, and select the version of CDH to deploy in the Version field.
- Select the type of cluster to deploy from Services.
- Select the numbers of masters, workers, and gateways to deploy. Then, select an instance template for each or create one or more new templates.
- When you are finished, click Continue. When prompted for confirmation, click OK to confirm.
Cloudera Director begins deploying the cluster.
