Chapter 1. Upgrading Ambari and HDP for IBM Power Systems
Ambari and the HDP Stack being managed by Ambari can be upgraded independently. It is always recommended to upgrade Ambari to the latest version before using it to upgrade HDP.

As of January 31, 2021, all downloads of HDP and Ambari require a username and password and use a modified URL. You must use the modified URL, including the username and password when downloading the repository content. |

If you are on Ambari 2.5.x.x version, it is recommended to upgrade to Ambari 2.6.1.21 HotFix version. |
