Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) 3.1.5 provides you with several new capabilities. You must learn about the new features and their benefits to use the new features in HDP 3.1.5.

Hive	Core Capabilities Support single catalog for Hive and Spark using the Hive Metastore (HMS) translation layer.
HBase	Upgrade Apache HBase is upgraded to Apache HBase 2.1.6. For a list of Apache patches that were added in HBase beyond what was fixed in the base version, see HBase Apache Patch Information.
YARN	Core Capabilities You can now configure queue mapping to use the user name from the application tag instead of the proxy user who submitted the job.
N/A	Upgrade The Google Cloud Storage Connector is now upgraded to GCS Connector 1.9.10. For more inforamtion, see Working with Google Cloud Storage.
