Adding a Metric Panel

Metric is the most simple panel that you can add to the Metron dashboard. This panel displays a single number for an aggregation that you select.

To add an event count panel for a new data source, complete the following steps:

Select the Visualize tab and then click Metric.
Click From a new search and then choose a data source index.
The dashboard displays the Visualization Editor.
In the search box, enter is_alert = true and then execute the search.
Click the Save Visualization () button to save the visualization.
Name the visualization Threat Intel Hits and click Save.
Select the Dashboard tab and then click the Plus () button.
Select the Visualization tab and select "$DATASOURCE Event Count".
The visualization will be added to the bottom of the dashboard .
Click the Save Dashboard () button in the dashboard toolbar to save the dashboard.
