Enabling as a TLS/SSL client

After you create a Hue truststore file in PEM format, you can configure Hue as a TLS/SSL client by using Cloudera Manager.

  1. On the Cloudera Manager home page, click the Hue service, and then on the Hue service page, select the Configuration tab.
  2. Filter by SCOPE > Hue Server and CATEGORY > Security.
  3. Locate either the Hue TLS/SSL Server Certificate File (PEM Format) ssl_certificate property or the Hue TLS/SSL Server CA Certificate (PEM Format) ssl_cacerts property.
  4. Add the path to the hue_truststore.pem file on the host that is running the Hue web server into one of these properties.
  5. Click Save Changes in the lower right corner of the page.
  6. Select Actions > Restart to restart the Hue service so the configuration changes can take effect.
