Review System Requirements

Before getting started with the Cloudera Flow Management (CFM) installation, it is helpful to review the system requirements.

System requirements for deployments on CDP Private Cloud Base🔗

Supported JDKs:
- Oracle JDK 1.8
- OpenJDK 1.8
- OpenJDK 11
- Azul Zulu JDK 1.8
- Azul Zulu JDK 11

JDK limitations and requirements:
- Azul Zulu JDK 1.8 and 11 are only supported when NiFi is installed as a standalone component, not managed by Cloudera Manager, and not part of a CDP cluster.
- If you are using JDK 11, Java 11.0.8 or later is required.
- If you are using Java 8, do not use JDK 8u271, JDK 8u281, and JDK 8u291 as they might cause socket leak issues in NiFi due to JDK-8245417 and JDK-8256818. Consider using a more recent version of the JDK like 8u282, or builds of the JDK where the issue is fixed as described in JDK-8256818.
ZooKeeper – You must install the ZooKeeper service available with your CDP Private Cloud Base cluster.
CFM 2.1.1 supports CDP Private Cloud Base 7.1.6, 7.1.7, 7.1.7 SP1, and 7.1.7 SP2.
4 cores per NiFi node is the minimum number of cores required by Cloudera to be supported. Cloudera recommends 8 cores per NiFi node as it usually provides the best starting point for the most common use cases.
