This topic lists new features for Apache Atlas in this release of Cloudera Runtime.
Atlas supports metadata extraction from AWS S3
Atlas can now obtain metadata from Amazon S3 storage, including metadata for S3 buckets and objects, including tags associated with them. This information is combined with information from other sources to integrate S3 objects in Atlas lineage. The S3 extraction logic is provided as stand-alone scripts for bulk and incremental metadata collection that you can configure to run through a scheduler.
