Enable System Service Mode
The HBase component associated with Timeline Service 2.0 is installed in the system
service mode only when the HDP 3.0 cluster meets the capacity requirements. The deployment
of ats-hbase
varies depending on whether you are deploying a new HDP 3.0
cluster or whether you are upgrading the cluster from HDP 2.6.5 to HDP 3.0.
On a new HDP 3.0 cluster that meets the capacity requirements for HBase to run in the
system service mode, ats-hbase
is automatically submitted to the
default queue without any ACLs configured. Therefore, you must configure a separate
queue for ats-hbase
, assign capacity and the highest priority to the
queue, set ACLs, and disable preemption on the queue.
On an HDP cluster that is upgraded from 2.6.5 to 3.0 and meets the capacity requirements
for HBase to run in the system service mode, a separate zero-capacity queue is
automatically created for the ats-hbase
service. The queue is
automatically configured with the required ACLs and priorities, and preemption is
disabled. You must assign capacity to the particular queue and enable the system service
mode so that ats-hbase
is submitted to that queue.
