You can use set file count or space quotas using Cloudera Manager. You must have
administrator privileges to set the quotas.

From the HDFS service page, select the File Browser
tab.

Browse the file system to find the directory for which you want to set
quotas.

Click the directory name so that it appears in the gray panel above the listing
of its contents and in the detail section to the right of the File Browser
table.

Click the Edit Quota button for the directory.
A Manage Quota pop-up displays, where you can set file
count or disk space limits for the directory you have selected.

When you have set the limits you want, click OK.
