What's New in Apache Impala

Although the technical preview feature listed here exists with CDP 7.2.9, it is not yet officially supported by Cloudera. This technical preview feature is still under development and is not recommended for a production environment.
Support GCS Storage (Technical Preview only)
This release added GCS as a storage system for Impala along with the other currently supported storage systems. You can use Impala to query data residing on the GCS. This capability allows convenient access to a storage system that is remotely managed, accessible from anywhere, and integrated with various cloud-based services.
