Receiving notifications
You can subscribe to receive announcements and notifications in Cloudera Public Cloud about various events from product updates to data service specific alerts. Announcements and notifications are received in the application or through emails.
Announcements include Cloudera product related announcements that can include updates related to End of Life (EOL), End of Support (EOS), Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), and maintenance updates. Announcements are broadcasted to all Cloudera users, and either to all or specific tenants.
Notifications include service and resource related alerts that are automatically generated by the platform. For example, cluster state changes, certification and upgrade alerts, resource exhaustion and consumption notifications. Notifications can be received by users of a tenant who have subscribed to the resource events of a Cloudera service, such as Cloudera DataFlow or User Management.

You can receive notifications in-app and through email messages.
- Notifications and Announcements list the active and read notifications about the product and resource.
- Subscriptions lists the active notification subscriptions for the services.
- Distrbituion Lists lists the group subscriptions for the services that are created based on allowed email domains.
In-app notifications
A new notification is indicated by at the top right corner on the Notifications page in Cloudera Management Console. You can open the notifications view using , and manage your notifications from in-app using . You can choose from the following actions:
- See all notifications and manage the subscriptions on the Notifications page
- Mark the notifications as read
In-app notifications are enabled by default. You can also view the in-app notifications by navigating to the Notifications page, and selecting the Notifications or Announcements tab.
Email notifications
You can subscribe to receive the notifications through email as well. Email notifications are sent from Cloudera's email address. You can subscribe to receive an email about all or a specific type of global announcement. You can also create Distribution lists to subscribe a set of users to receive resource notifications through email.
