Gathering observability configurations

Environment configurations are used to monitor and observe an environment.

If you did not make changes to the environment for Observability or the Alert Manager, skip this step.
Alert Manager setting
  1. Using one of the following ways, get the value of the Alert Manager settings:
    • Use the Cloudera Data Warehouse UI:

      In Environments, search for and find your environment tile, and in Actions, click and select Edit > Alert Settings, add the alert settings.

    • Use kubectl: 
      kubectl get configmap -n istio-system alertmanager -o json
Observability configurations
  1. Using the Cloudera Data Warehouse UI, in Environments, search for and find your environment tile, and click and select Edit > Observability, and copy the configurations. Observability::json > ObservabilityConfig>
