Viewing query history in Cloudera Data Warehouse

In Cloudera Data Warehouse (CDW), both DAS and Hue applications enable you to view the historical queries that were run against a Database Catalog. DAS allows you to view queries that are submitted from the DAS UI as well as through JDBC or ODBC clients. But with Hue, you can only view queries that are submitted from the Hue editor.

Administrators can view the list of all queries from all users. Non-admin or normal users can only view the queries that they have submitted.

Viewing query history from DAS

  1. Log in to the CDP web interface and navigate to the Data Warehouse service.
  2. In the Data Warehouse service, navigate to the Overview page.
  3. On the Overview page under Virtual Warehouses, click the options menu for a Hive Virtual Warehouse and select Open DAS.
  4. In DAS, go to the Queries page to view the list of all queries.
