Managing version control site settings
Cloudera Data Visualization offers extensive site-wide configuration options, allowing users with administrative privileges to manage various settings crucial for organizational workflows.
- Enable Version Control (Tech Preview)
-
By using this option, you can activate application-wide version control within Cloudera Data Visualization.
- Enable Dataset Version Control (Tech Preview)
-
Once general version control is enabled, you can enable version control specifically for datasets. This allows you to:
- Track changes and revisions across dataset versions.
- Enable features like rollback to previous dataset versions.
- Unnamed Dataset Version Deletion Interval
-
This setting defines how frequently an automatic cleanup script runs to delete old, unnamed dataset versions. You can set the number of days between checks for deletion of unnamed versions. The minimum interval is 1 day and the default setting is 7 days.
- Unnamed Dataset Version Maximum Retention Days
-
This setting defines the maximum lifespan for unnamed dataset versions before they are automatically deleted. You can set the retention period, which is the maximum number of days a dataset version can exist without a name. The minimum retention period is 1 day, and the default setting is 30 days.
For more information about unnamed dataset versions, see Tracking dataset versions.
