What's new in Cloudera Data Visualization 7.2.6

Cloudera Data Visualization 7.2.6 was released on September 2, 2024 introducing the following changes.

New features and improvements

VIZ-2644 – Support for multiple completion and embedding models: Added support for saving multiple completion and embedding models within AI Settings [Technical Preview]. For more information on saving AI Engine profiles, see Managing AI settings.
VIZ-2490, VIZ-2789 – Dataset versioning: Added support for dataset versioning [Technical Preview]. Using dataset versioning allows you to manage different versions of your datasets, which is especially useful when handling frequent updates or iterative changes. Versioning helps you to track changes and roll back to an earlier version if an error is introduced or an earlier version is preferred, ensuring data consistency and reliability. It also adds a layer of security and control, ensuring that data integrity is maintained even as datasets evolve. VIZ-2746, VIZ-2748 – Sentry group visibility in role management: Sentry Groups now appear when editing membership of a role from the Role Details page. Membership for roles imported from Sentry cannot be changed on this page and must be managed through the Sentry system.
VIZ-2662, VIZ-2663 – Updated icons: The icons for Exploring Visual Options and the AI Visual in the Visual Type Catalog have been updated.
VIZ-2739 – Improved column alignment in CSV files: Column alignment in CSV files attached to emails now mirrors that of downloaded CSV files.

VIZ-1632, VIZ-2035, VIZ-2648, VIZ-2649, VIZ-2684, VIZ-2732, VIZ-2767, VIZ-2793, VIZ-2795, VIZ-2796: Implemented various security, performance, and user experience improvements across Cloudera Data Visualization.
VIZ-2151, VIZ-2152, VIZ-2731, VIZ-2749: Implemented fixes and improvements for Solr data connections [Technical Preview].
VIZ-2172: Kerberos login error messages are now properly surfaced when they occur.
VIZ-2429: Fixed an issue where the date range selector could become unresponsive when entering a custom range selection.
VIZ-2643, VIZ-2724, VIZ-2735, VIZ-2750, VIZ-2752, VIZ-2777: Implemented fixes and improvements for the recently redesigned Manage Users and Groups and Job Details interfaces.
