Once you have defined a new role in the Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system of Cloudera Data Visualization, you can start adding privileges to that role.
The following steps show you how to add or modify privileges associated with a specific
role.
On the main navigation bar, click the (gear) icon.
In the drop-down menu, click Manage Roles.
In the Manage Roles interface, locate the role you wish to edit
and click on the (edit) icon next to the respective role.
You can use the Search Role box to find the role you want to
edit.
On the Role Detail interface, you can set the following groups
of privileges:
System privileges
Role privileges
Connection privileges
Dataset privileges
After configuring the desired privileges for the role, click APPLY
CHANGES to save the new privilege assignments.
